Improving Marketability

ASFA® Certifications

The broad and expanding field of fitness can present challenges to the personal trainer who is trying to find a successful marketing approach and target client base. The American Sports and Fitness Association® (ASFA®) provides a collection of certifications for the experienced fitness professional that each focus on a specific aspect of training.

ASFA® certifications include self-defense, water aerobics, sport-specific training, sports nutrition and more.  Sales is a numbers game.  The more marketable you are, the better your chances at both more client and a higher pay rate.

Workout instructors from across the globe can benefit from ASFA’s convenient options. Many trainers choose to begin with ASFA’s basic Personal Trainer Certification and continue to advance to Master Trainer, which offers publication opportunity for professionals interested in producing writing works.

Trainers can also add more focused certifications to their portfolios, allowing them to showcase their growing skills and experience. There are also options for those interested in management of workout facilities and business assistance.
