Dance/Hip-Hop Aerobics: Have Fun With Fitness!

Dance/Hip-hop Aerobics Certification

Dance aerobics has danced its way into health clubs all over the country. The popularity of the class comes from simply being fun. There are other benefits as well aside from being fun.

Dance aerobics is easy to do. You are moving to music. It doesn’t have to be highly choreographed and any fitness level can participate. You just have to move! Dance aerobics can be performed at a health club or in the comforts of your own home with videos and downloads. It doesn’t require any equipment other than a pair of shoes.

Dance aerobics can be either low impact or high impact. The variety and intensity is up to you! You can make it as challenging as you want or make it an easy recovery workout session. Some people will even make social events and dates out of it because of its uniqueness. There is something for everyone in a dance aerobics class.

Dance aerobics improves balance, endurance, strength, coordination, and most importantly your confidence! Dancing gives everyone a chance to break out of their traditional mold and traditional workouts to experience something new and fun. It challenges a different part of the brain and gives you a more creative outlet than traditional aerobics classes that are very structured. It gives you the opportunity to simply be yourself and have fun doing it in a group setting that is supportive and encouraging. Everyone gets to move to the beat and feel confident.  Just move how you feel! (In the right form of course...)

Due to its aerobic structure, dance aerobics is also a great way to burn calories. Participants can burn more than 500 calories in a single hour of dancing!

Dance aerobics has a lot to offer and something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you prefer a highly choreographed class at a health club, or something more tame in the comfort of your home, you are sure to have fun and increase your fitness level at the same time.
