Host a meal prep party and everyone can benefit by saving time later in the week not having to prepare meals. Find yourself an accountability partner. This can be someone you can call when you don’t feel like working out or you feel like you are transgressing into old habits. Individuals who share their goals with others are more likely to reach their goal and be successful.

This can be very resourceful if you have a lot of food allergies and are unsure what is okay to eat or how to prepare something. Keep a journal and log all of your meals. Studies have shown that people who keep a food journal tend to make healthier choices because they are thinking about what they are eating and what they have to write down, as opposed to mindless eating in front of the television. A food journal can also be beneficial to a dietician so they can see your eating patterns and habits and make adjustments from there.
Remember that food is not bad. Food is fuel. Food sustains life and gives you the energy you need to enjoy life. Keep a positive attitude and focus on the benefits that you will enjoy along your journey. Healthy lifestyles take time.
