The personal trainer manual varies from each trainer to each client. There are some traits and behaviors that your body trainer wishes you didn’t have to help you grow as an individual as you embark on your fitness journey. 

  1. Don’t view your fitness regimen as “all or nothing”. When you meet with a fitness trainer for the first time, you will have trainer interview questions and answers, you want to look at perseverance as part of your goal. If you get injured or have a setback due to time or family obligations, you need to be able to work through that so you can get back on track. Going in with an “all or nothing” attitude can often lead to injury or burn out, which in the end can prevent you from reaching your goals or desired results.

  3. Wanting to do everything on your own. Working out solo can be therapeutic for those who enjoy their “me time” at the gym. However, when it comes to wanting to obtain personal growth, having a trainer or training partner can help you look at new exercises that are outside your norm so that you are always being challenged both physically and mentally. Having a trainer or training partner can also help prevent burn out and exercise injuries.   4. Not wanting to learn anything new. Learning is a way of growth. Fitness and nutrition complement each other. Expanding your knowledge can help you make better choices for yourself.   5. Not listening to your body. Listening to your body is very important when working out. You need to find a workout that you are comfortable doing and also one that you enjoy so that it can become a healthy habit in your healthy lifestyle.
