ASFA® offers two options for certificate renewals. If you are due to recertify you must retest. Upon retesting, you have two options, you may recertify with a one-year renewal or you may choose a lifetime renewal. If you choose the one-year renewal, you must test again in following years. If you choose the lifetime renewal, you do not have to retest, but do have to maintain an active proficiency in the field of certification including taking one course/class/seminar in your subject area yearly.
